| "Inspiration" I Started teaching guitar when I was in my teens , Inspiration came from guitar teachers who taught me In particular my 1st Band the "Rainbow Munchkins" and a gentleman called Darren Hunter from the indie rock band "Natural Life" I aslo gained and continue to Gain an infinite amount of inspiration from a man called "Prem Rawat" also known by the hounourary title of "Maharaji" www.maharaji.org . "Flow" One of the most enjoyable aspects of teaching guitar is what I describe as the "flow" , this is where both student and teacher are in a place of mutual respect And there is a very postitive exchange of energy, it is in times like these that time stands still. | "Qualifications " I have passed Grade 8 in electric guitar, Grade 8 in bass guitar , Grade 8 in classical guitar (3 seperate qualifications ) I have also passed the Licentate of London college of music in guitar Teaching , and can append the letters LLCM (TD) to my name . "Clarity and Simplicity " To summerise my approach to teaching guitar I would say It involves the student "doing" and from doing , they can come to thier own understanding . I always try to be supportive and not overly critical ,I am big beliver in imaginative play and In clarity and simplicity . thank you for reading my profile , Damien :0) |
